Our products

MERZ GMBH supplies a wide range of high-quality products. These products cover all of our core areas: Mobile power distributors, test engineering, and sheet metal technology.

Our mobile distributor range comprises site distributors for all construction projects, events, marketplaces, fairgrounds, and festival sites - and also for campsites and marinas. Our sheet metal parts are used in power distributors and in numerous customer-specific applications. MERZ test engineering products are used in trade and industry to verify the electrical safety of all types of portable electrical equipment.

Our independent subsidiary - MERZ Schaltgeräte GMBH + CO. KG - is responsible for our group's low-voltage switchgear. This product range encompasses cam switches and compact switches with open and encapsulated designs.

Founding of Gustav MERZ Schaltgeräte- und Apparatebaufabrik for the production of switching devices and apparatus engineering products in Gaildorf, Germany.

  

Start of series production of site distributors. Slightly later: Start of production of test engineering products.

  

Following the sudden death of Gustav Merz, his daughter - Ursula Schöller - took over the running of the company.

In 1990, Schupa GmbH + Co. KG, which would later become GEWISS Deutschland GmbH, took over the company.

 

  

PC Electric (St. Martin, Austria) took ownership of MERZ GMBH.

  

On the 1st of January 2008, MERZ Schaltgeräte GMBH + CO. KG was founded as a subsidiary of MERZ GMBH.

  

The around 80-strong staff of PCE MERZ work successfully to supply products to national and international companies in four specialist areas: Mobile power distributors, test engineering, sheet metal technology, and switching devices.
